Charles M. Rock (“Chuck”) passed away on October 16, 2013.
He had been an attorney since 1980. After several years as a sole practitioner, Chuck, with his brother Jeff and Eric Hasselberg, formed Hasselberg & Rock in 1991. Chuck had a diverse practice, including civil litigation, real estate, and business transactions.
Chuck provided counsel to corporations and professionals in the areas of employment contracts, shareholder agreements, business formation, and the sale/purchase of businesses. He was also involved with complex zoning, engineering, and annexation issues for developers of commercial and residential properties.
Chuck was recognized as a Leading Lawyer by his peers, a distinction achieved by less than 5% of Illinois practicing attorneys.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Diane, two sons, Brian and Jason, his brother, Jeff, and his parents, Charles and Doris Rock.
